The New Polis Is Now Also A Peer-Reviewed Academic Journal (Announcement)

The New Polis is now also a peer-reviewed academic journal.

We announce the inaugural issue (vol. 1, no. 1) for the winter of 2022 entitled “Decoloniality and the Disintegration of Western Cognitive Empire: Rethinking Sovereignty and Territoriality in the 21st Century”.

The issue is a compilation of papers and panel discussions for an online conference by the same name held April 14-16, 2021.

Contributors include Edward Antonio, Mateusz Borowski, Brendan John Brown, Ward Churchill, Roger Green, Fernando Gómez Herrero, Walter Mignolo, Maria Cristina Manzano-Munguía, Natsu Taylor Saito, Sheldon Spotted Elk, Tink Tinker, Miguel de la Torre, Guillermo López Varela, Catherine Walsh, and Andrew Yost.

The New Polis is calling for submissions on topics in the general areas of critical theory, social analysis, or political philosophy and political theology. Submit a complete article formatted in Chicago Style along with a curriculum vitae to editor.thenewpolis@gmail.com.
